Notes |
This matches a Purdue University military uniform from the years 1893 - 1897, per Adriana Harmeyer of Purdue University archives. Edwin Chaffin Ford received a bachelor of science degree in Pharmacy from Purdue in 1901, and according to his family he is the person who owned the uniform. During that period, Purdue required all male students to receive two years of military training, so evidently this was Edwin Chaffin Ford's uniform from that time. M. C. Lilley & Co. was operating under that name from 1865 to 1933. |
