Description |
Wedding slippers. There is a design stamped on the leather sole in the instep, on the right side of the left shoe and the left side of the right shoe. The outers are all leather, the lining is cloth. The leather has a slight texture stamped into it -- a crosshatch. There are two seams in the leather, down the front and down the heel. Handwritten in ink on the cloth lining on the right shoe is "3/-" and "19", in the left shoe "3/-" and "14". Holes for laces run down the left side of the right shoe and the right side of the left shoe. There are 5 pairs of holes in each shoe, and the buttonholes are hand sewn. Laces are strings with metal ends (aglets). Inside b (the left shoe) is a small green sticker on the insole which reads "D. R. KING/MAKER/No 152 1/2/Market St. PhiladA" |
